Shop Crane Technician

As a Shop Crane Technician, you will be working at their shop located in Burlington repairing overhead cranes. This is a great permanent opportunity to work for a reputable well-established company that treats you like a family member. The responsibilities will include teardowns, troubleshooting and performing repair services, and preventative maintenance on equipment. The position is based out of Burlington. We are looking for someone with 2 years of experience as an overhead crane technician.

  • Inspect equipment to determine defect faults and malfunctions of equipment
  • Determine the extent of repair required
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Work well with others as well as work independently
  • Troubleshooting daily
  • Fit and assemble or disassemble parts using tools
  • Other duties as required


  • 2-3 years of experience as an overhead crane technician or manufacturing experience
  • If certified millwright or electrician, no crane experience is needed
  • Mechanical aptitude 
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment
  • Excellent people and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Lifting up to 50lbs
  • Knowledge and understanding of structural, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Able to work in elevated areas
  • Available to work overtime and on call as required
  • Must have reliable own transportation
