THE ROLE

We are partnering with a reputable Canadian law firm that has years of experience in the legal industry in Vancouver. Currently, we are looking to add an additional member to their corporate team as they have a need for a Corporate Services Clerk in Vancouver.

We are currently seeking a Corporate Services Clerk to support their Business Law group. The position provides an opportunity to work with a vibrant and team-oriented group of people. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a Canadian law firm, with significant exposure and experience with minute books, both real and virtual.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Preparation of annual reports and annual consent resolutions for B.C. and Federal corporations, societies and maintenance of extra-provincial registrations across Canada

·        Maintaining the Annual Maintenance Bring Forward system

·        Incorporation and organization corporations and societies

·        Preparing corporate legal documents, such as changes in directors, officers and registered office address

·        Handling general updates to minute books

·        Processing share transfers, transmissions, dividends and redemptions

·        Conducting corporate due diligence searches

·        Updating ALF database

·        Other administrative support as required

REQUIREMENTS:

 

·        Minimum of 2 years’ experience of which at least one is related to the handling annual corporate maintenance

·        Completion of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant or Paralegal program

·        Working knowledge of ALF and BC Online

·        Excellent spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills

·        Advanced computer skills with Word, Excel, and Outlook

·        Keyboarding at a minimum of 60 wpm

·        Commitment to providing first-rate level of knowledge and prompt quality service to clients and internal stakeholders

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen effectively and respond appropriately

·        Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail to produce high quality and accurate work

·        Ability to work effectively both independently and as a contributing member in a team environment

·        Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills coupled with a willingness to learn and to adapt to changing demands

·        Ability to prioritize tasks by deadline, work calmly under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
