THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Manufacturing Assistant Scheduler to support the production team. You will work in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines, requiring extended periods of sitting at a computer and phone; specific responsibilities may vary by company and role.
In this position, you will assist in planning, coordinating, and scheduling production activities to meet customer demand and business objectives. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Materials Team with data entry and maintaining the cycle count program and inventory levels, as well as allocating jobs to customer requirements. The position is located in Brantford, Ontario.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in managing production schedules and work orders, with a focus on materials planning and ensuring availability for production.
- Monitor and update schedules to reflect changes in production requirements, material availability, and changeovers, ensuring materials are accounted for in real time.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records and reports, including inventory levels
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure the timely delivery of materials and products, minimizing delays and stockouts
- Create and execute Cycle Counts from a set schedule, enter cycle data into ERP systems, and maintain detailed documentation of the program to support accurate inventory management
- Perform frequent and detailed data entry, ensuring that all inventory records are up-to-date and reflect accurate material stock levels
- Light third-party planning and releasing of orders to vendors, with a focus on inventory and material management
- Analyze inventory levels and material usage, performing regular checks and adjustments to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained
REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a scheduling or planning role
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required post-secondary education in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
