THE ROLE

As a Welder, you will work in a manufacturing facility, responsible for fabrication, welding, assembly and other required tasks. This is a great temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a mid-size clean facility for a reputable and leading company in the automotive industry. You will be working in a team environment on the day shift. This is a growing company that is very busy right now. This position is located in St. George.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welding metal components together to fabricate or repair products (Mig Welding)
• Analyzing blueprints and drawings for fabrication purposes
• Maintain welding equipment and machinery
• Inspect welded joints for quality and standards
• Automotive assembly and fabrication
• Installation of automotive parts using hand tools
• Adheres to all Preferred Work Methods and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Carries out duties in a safe manner as instructed through safety training.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager and Supervisors

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have reliable transportation as this is not on a bus route
• 3 years of experience as a MIG welder
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and blueprints drawing
• Experience with using hand tools and able to bring own hand tools to work
• A deep knowledge of welding techniques
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Automotive experience is nice to have
• Work safely and follow all company policies, procedures, and work practices
• Have a great team attitude and willingness to help
• Previous experience working in manufacturing
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
• CWB certification is as asset
