THE ROLE
As a Welder, you will work in a reputable manufacturing facility, responsible for production welding and operating associated machines. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a team environment for a reputable and leading manufacturer in Brantford, Ont.
The Welder's report to the welding department supervisors and Lead Hands outlines the necessary skills and abilities for production welders and associated machine operators. This role involves rotating shifts every two weeks, alternating between days and afternoons, and may require occasional overtime.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mig Welding
- Perform repetitive MIG welding tasks in a production environment, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
- Maintain welding equipment and machinery
- Inspect welded joints for quality and standards
- Knowledge of metals, relevant product codes, regulations and laws
- Knowledge of applied mathematics (e.g., fractions, measuring) and geometry
- Use manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal pieces using processes such as gas metal arc (MIG or GMAW)
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
- Adheres to all Preferred Work Methods and Standard Operating Procedures
- Carries out duties in a safe manner as instructed through safety training
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisors and Lead Hand
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 years of MIG welding experience minimum
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment working with plant machinery
- Experience working in a production environment with the ability to maintain a safe, productive, quality-minded work environment
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- CWB certification preferred
