THE ROLE
Our Tier 1 automotive manufacturing client in Simcoe is seeking a Stamping Group Leader to provide hands-on leadership and shift supervision within their Stamping Production department.
This role goes beyond monitoring production output. The successful candidate will have true people leadership experience, including direct supervision, performance management, and day-to-day accountability for team members on the floor.
You will lead production teams across a rotating three-shift schedule (Days, Afternoons, Midnights) while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and delivery targets are consistently achieved.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct supervision to stamping production teams during assigned shifts
- Manage daily production requirements, staffing levels, and workflow to meet operational targets
- Review production schedules and adjust priorities to ensure delivery commitments are met
- Address operational, quality, and minor maintenance issues to minimize downtime
- Assign team members based on skill level, experience, and production needs
KEY EXPECTATIONS
- Managing production workflow and daily staffing requirements
- Direct supervision of hourly team members
- Performance management, including coaching, corrective action, and disciplinary processes
- Reviewing and approving employee time and payroll information
- Mentoring and developing employees to improve performance and engagement
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience as a team leader or supervisor
- Solid understanding of stamping operations, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Automotive manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
- Strong technical aptitude with mechanical and manufacturing processes
- Proficient computer skills and experience using production or reporting systems
- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work a rotating three-shift schedule
