THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a Shop Electrical Technician to join their Burlington facility on a full-time, permanent basis. This role operates on day shift and focuses on industrial electrical installation, wiring, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance within a shop environment. We are ideally seeking a licensed electrician (442A or 309A), but are also open to candidates in their 3rd or 4th year of apprenticeship with relevant industrial experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and applicable electrical codes
- Determine layouts for industrial electrical equipment installations
- Perform conduit layout and installation, panel building, and integration of accessories such as radio remotes and safety limit systems
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain accurate service and maintenance records
- Inspect equipment to identify defects, faults, and malfunctions
- Determine the scope of required repairs and replace or adjust defective components
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance
- Monitor electrical component inventory levels and track component usage
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- 3–4 years of experience as an industrial electrician or similar role
- Licensed 442A or 309A Electrician preferred; 3rd or 4th year apprentices will be considered
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Experience with industrial electrical systems and material handling equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and control systems
- Comfortable working at heights and in elevated areas
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work overtime and be on-call as required
- Reliable transportation
