THE ROLE
We are looking for a SERVICE TECHNICIAN with LEAD HAND experience for one of the largest and most successful suppliers of air systems based in SURREY. This role is a Monday to Friday day shift position with overtime as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of different brands of compressors, dryers, or related equipment at the customer site
- Answering service calls related to emergencies at the customer site
- Operation and technical advice to existing customers
- Service promotion to potential customers
- Support existing service technician team via:
- Training
- Ensuring that SAP work order process is followed
- Ensuring tracking procedures are accurate
- Manage after-hours phone transfers when needed
- Ensuring that all appropriate PPE and tools are used along with reviewing requests for new tooling and providing guidance
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Electrical knowledge
- Ability to read maps
- General knowledge of computers
- Knowledge of compressed air systems is a significant asset
- Knowledge of piping
- Must have a valid class 5 driver's license
- Availability to travel occasionally across Canada and to the US
- Availability to answer service calls outside working hours
