The Role
We are partnering with a well-established Canadian industrial equipment company specializing in overhead material handling systems to find a Service Dispatch Coordinator to join their Scarborough team. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing operations role responsible for coordinating service technicians, managing work orders, and ensuring service jobs are executed safely, efficiently, and professionally from start to finish.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-accountability environment, enjoys being the central communication hub between customers and field technicians, and can confidently manage changing priorities throughout the day.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding service requests, job timing, and status updates
- Create and maintain accurate service work orders, ensuring all job details, safety requirements, and site information are complete
- Schedule and dispatch service technicians based on priority, skill set, availability, and geographic location
- Adjust technician schedules in real time to accommodate urgent calls, delays, or parts availability
- Support technicians in the field by resolving access issues, scope changes, safety concerns, and customer requests
- Accurately quote field inspections and coordinate with internal teams to keep jobs progressing efficiently
- Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, service notes, and job completion details
- Support invoicing processes by ensuring service documentation is complete and accurate
- Provide occasional support to parts and quoting functions during peak periods or coverage needs
- Reinforce safety standards, professional communication, and service quality expectations
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of experience in service dispatch, service coordination, or field service scheduling
- Experience in industrial, mechanical, construction, manufacturing, or technical service environments preferred
- Strong customer service and phone communication skills
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple service calls in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable supporting and directing field technicians
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, practical decisions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning service/dispatch systems
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work fully on-site in Scarborough
