The Role
Our client is a reputable company and they are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Operator for their Delta facility. The Maintenance Operator will be responsible for general maintenance and system checks of the ammonia refrigeration equipment.
This position offers night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Performing scheduled and unscheduled testing and maintenance.
- Conducting preventative maintenance on facility systems, including refrigeration equipment, warehouse and facility equipment, building automation, plumbing, and painting.
- Monitoring refrigeration equipment for temperature readings, defrost setups, and alarms, while maintaining documentation and overseeing ammonia plant operations.
- Inputting data into work order systems
- Working with contractors and maintaining health and safety regulations
- Maintains a safe plant in mechanically sound condition meeting Provincial and local guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Refrigeration Operator or 4th Class Power Engineer ticket
- 4+ years of carrying out preventative maintenance and troubleshooting experience
- Experience working with refrigeration and ammonia systems is an asset
- Mechanically inclined and with some experience with plumbing, welding is an asset
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Flexibility to work night shifts.
Compensation
- $42.50-$44 per hour
