THE ROLE
A growing professional services organization is seeking a People & Culture Supervisor who is passionate about building strong teams, fostering an inclusive workplace, and creating meaningful employee experiences. This role plays a key part in shaping the organization’s culture while ensuring people practices are compliant, thoughtful, and aligned with business goals.
Working closely with senior leadership, this individual will champion people-first initiatives, support leaders at every level, and guide employees through each stage of their journey with the organization. This person will be responsible for both the Vancouver and Toronto office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Culture & Organizational Development
- Design and deliver people programs that support engagement, collaboration, and long-term growth
- Partner with leaders to coach, advise, and support performance development, career planning, and team effectiveness
- Identify learning and development opportunities that empower employees and strengthen leadership capabilities
- Plan and facilitate internal learning sessions, lunch-and-learns, and staff communications
- Support the planning and delivery of firm-wide meetings and employee engagement initiatives
Talent Acquisition & Employee Experience
- Create thoughtful, role-specific job descriptions that reflect the organization’s values and culture
- Support workforce planning to meet evolving business needs
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for all support and administrative roles, ensuring a positive and inclusive candidate experience
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding programs that make employees feel welcomed, supported, and valued
- Recommend competitive and equitable compensation aligned with internal frameworks and market insights
- Develop and maintain competency frameworks and career pathways for administrative professionals
People Operations
- Provide leadership and day-to-day support to administrative teams, ensuring appropriate staffing coverage
- Leverage HR systems and technology to improve efficiency and enhance the employee experience
- Maintain and evolve HR policies, procedures, and internal resources with a focus on clarity and accessibility
- Administer benefits programs and support employee wellness initiatives
- Manage attendance, vacation, and overtime tracking with accuracy and care
- Coordinate internal people communications, employee milestones, and recognition initiatives
- Support performance review cycles and continuous feedback practices
- Co-lead workplace health, safety, and well-being initiatives
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- Post Secondary Schooling in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- CPHR designation strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
- Experience in a professional services environment
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and people best practices
- Hands-on experience across recruitment, employee relations, benefits, and compliance
- Comfort working with HRIS platforms and people data
