THE ROLE

Our recruitment team is currently working with one of the leading distributors in Canada. Recognized as one of the Top 100 Best Employers, our client continues to face constant growth, with multiple locations across North America. The Delta branch is currently seeking an Outside Sales/Inside Sales Representative to work on both generating leads and business opportunities, as well as performing on-the-road visits to prospect clients.

This role is fully on-site with daytime shifts from Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexibility to start at 7 AM when needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for growing business within an assigned region by meeting sales goals, increasing revenue, and expanding market share. 
  • Identifying potential clients, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with both current and prospective customers.
  • Work closely with internal departments to support sales activities, prepare pricing and proposals, manage customer inquiries, and ensure a high level of service. 
  • Track KPI's to ensure targets are met, and a strong sales plan is shared during meetings.
  • Travel to networking events, client sites, and have in-person meetings to foster relationships with potential customers.
  • Maintaining an updated knowledge of the market to study opportunities for potential projects out there.
  • Utilizing resources and media to obtain market knowledge.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 to 5 years in a sales capacity, preferred with experience in both inside and outside sales, ideally in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction materials environment. Experience with aluminum, steel, copper, plastic, wood, wiring, or extrusion products would be considered beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; a highly extroverted candidate who is confident, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with clients in diverse industries.
  • Strong computing systems experience, including Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Have a solid understanding of the company’s products and how they are used across different applications. 
  • A consultative sales style is important in order to understand client requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities are essential, along with a driven and independent approach to business development.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

COMPENSATION:

  • $60,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience.
