THE ROLE

STRIVE Recruitment is working with a full-service law firm who focuses in areas such as corporate and commercial law, real estate and development, as well as litigation and dispute resolution. Our client is a Canadian based firm and they are looking for a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant for their location in Vancouver.

Working as a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant, you will be supporting a team of likeminded assistants and three lawyers. We are looking for someone who is able to work in a team environment, as well as independently when needed. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and transcribe legal documents, including general correspondence.
  • Coordinate schedules for mediations, depositions, trials, and client appointments.
  • Organize and manage case files, including maintaining binders and filing documents.
  • Maintain an effective reminder and follow-up system for ongoing tasks.
  • Handle both active and closed case files as needed.
  • Prepare and monitor monthly and quarterly billing statements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of experience working as a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Good understanding of litigation processes and legal procedures.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding client confidentiality.
