THE ROLE
STRIVE Recruitment is working with a versatile legal firm who focuses in areas such as business, insurance, and personal litigation. Our client is a Canadian based firm and they are looking for a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant for their location in Vancouver.
Being a part of the team as the Legal Administrative Assistant, you will be supporting a partner and paralegal. We are looking for someone who is able to work well by themselves and able to support and help the team when necessary. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and transcribe legal documents, including general correspondence.
- Coordinate schedules for mediations, depositions, trials, and client appointments.
- Organize and manage case files, including maintaining binders and filing documents.
- Maintain an effective reminder and follow-up system for ongoing tasks.
- Handle both active and closed case files as needed.
- Prepare and monitor monthly and quarterly billing statements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience working as a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience with Elite 3E is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good understanding of litigation processes and legal procedures.
- Strong commitment to safeguarding client confidentiality.
