THE ROLE

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Hydraulic Service Coordinator for a leading distributor of industrial motion, fluid power, flow control, and automation technologies, along with related maintenance supplies, as a value-added distributor and technical solutions provider located in Saskatoon. The Service Coordinator will apply extensive hands-on experience to effectively coordinate work projects/orders that need completion in the shop. Providing recommendations to all Technicians, processing service and production orders for customer-owned products.

Shift times run from Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administrative role in charge of reviewing quotes to match accuracy and correct pricing; communicating timelines and order status to customers in a prompt manner.
  • Manage multiple orders or projects at various stages both service and production.
  • Oversee/coordinate materials procurement, and provide sourcing alternatives where required.
  • Provide recommendations to the shop and management on the scope of work with options to suit customer requirements.
  • Sourcing materials with suppliers, and price negotiation.
  • Continuous improvement to identify daily working process issues in an effort to create efficiencies.
  • Plan orders with drawings as required to streamline the production process, decrease component costs, and increase labor efficiencies.
  • Collect, review, and assemble service and production turnover documents as required.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years experience with hydraulic systems and fluid power products.
  • Engineering background is a strong asset.
  • Strong computing and ERP system knowledge; preferably with SAP and Microsoft Suite, including Excel.
  • Experience developing detailed work instructions based on products being serviced or manufactured for the team.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to handle multiple projects; following strict deadlines.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and experience in purchasing related materials.
  • Strong technical and mechanical ability to provide communication on work instructions and document maintenance reports.
  • Lead by example in the abiding of health and safety protocols.
  • Experience performing hydraulic repairs is a strong asset.
  • Flexible availability for any rare extended work projects.
