$90,000 - $150,000 plus bonus and benefits

Hamilton/Niagara area - Fully in Office

STRIVE has partnered with an innovative manufacturing company that is actively engaged in serving Southwest Ontario to help companies move products. This company is in a growth phase and is using the latest technology.

The client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Controller to join the team. As the Controller, you will play a critical role in managing the company's financial reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.

Reporting to the President, the Controller will be responsible for:


  • Prepare all external reporting disclosures and quarterly materials for executive management
  • Prepare accounting memos for significant/complex transactions
  • Preparation of quarterly balance sheet, monthly CAPEX, and P&L analysis and documenting variances
  • Will have a team of 4 reporting into them
  • Chart of accounts maintenance
  • Assisting with income tax provision preparation and corporate income tax returns
  • Manage and supervise the accountant and accounts payable clerk
  • Review and reconcile intercompany and clearing accounts
  • Review accounts payable preparation and treasury management
  • Provide ongoing support to the President as requested
  • Assist in the corporate budgeting and forecasting process
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the internal controls, accounting policies and procedures

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
  • CPA Designation is preferred
  • Strong analytical abilities and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments
  • Sound knowledge of appropriate controls and ability to review and improve processes and controls
