THE ROLE
STRIVE is recruiting experienced Core Technicians for contract opportunities supporting geological activities at a remote, camp-based mining operation in northwestern British Columbia.
These opportunities are well suited to candidates with hands-on experience in core handling, core orientation, and basic geotechnical logging who are comfortable working in a remote mining environment.
This is a fly-in, fly-out opportunity working a 13 days on / 13 days off rotation, with 2 travel days and 12-hour shifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely handle, organize, and process drill core
- Complete core orientation activities
- Perform basic geotechnical logging
- Maintain accurate core records and documentation
- Support geological personnel with core-related activities
- Organize and maintain core in accordance with established site procedures
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Work collaboratively with Geologists and other site personnel
- Follow established site procedures and operating requirements
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience with drill core handling
- Experience completing core orientation
- Experience with basic geotechnical logging
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a mining environment
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, camp-based setting
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Ability to meet applicable site onboarding, safety, fitness-for-work, and travel requirements
ASSETS
- Previous Core Technician experience within mining or mineral exploration
- Experience working within northwestern British Columbia
- Experience within the Golden Triangle
- Previous experience at large-scale mining operations
- Experience working in a core shack environment
- Previous remote or FIFO mining experience
- Familiarity with geological and geotechnical terminology and documentation
- Experience working safely around active mining operations
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a camp-based mining position in northwestern British Columbia. Contractors work a 13-day onsite rotation followed by 13 days off, with 2 travel days associated with the rotation.
Work is completed during 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled. Work may include core shack, field, and operational environments and requires site-prescribed PPE.
