THE ROLE
Our client is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive team player to join their dynamic Real Estate Group in a full-time, on-site position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential real estate transactions and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities:
- Managing residential sales, purchases, and mortgage files, from initial opening through to final reporting and closing.
- Communicating directly with vendors, buyers, financial institutions, clients, legal assistants, paralegals, lawyers, and brokers via phone and email.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure proper file allocation and tracking progress.
- Providing mentorship and support to junior colleagues in a constructive and encouraging manner.
- Performing any additional administrative duties necessary to ensure the team’s success.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Completion of a recognized Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) or Paralegal program.
- At least three (3) years of experience as a legal assistant, particularly in residential real estate transactions.
- Proficient in document preparation and skilled with industry-standard software, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, BC Online, MyLTSA, and eConvey.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to independently handle real estate files from start to finish.
- A motivated team player who can also work autonomously with minimal guidance.
- Strong communication, administrative, and time management skills.
- High level of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential information.
