The Role
Our client has been operating in the heavy civil construction space for over 12 years. They are looking to further build out their Estimating team as they are anticipating an exciting year of growth and winning expansive projects. The main duties for the Estimating Manager is to oversee all incoming projects, budget planning, bid preparation, researching market prices, and abiding by company policies, as well as government regulations.
The Estimating Manager will work from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Project planning, project management, and budgeting.
- Managing all aspects of the bid preparation process, from reviewing bids to preparing estimates for multiple incoming projects, and abiding by company procedures and standards.
- Evaluating proposals and contractor bids to determine the compliance with bid specifications and governmental regulatory requirements.
- Reviewing all construction specification drawings and follow compliance regulations, having strong experience with AutoCAD.
Requirements
- 3-4+ years of experience in a Senior Estimator role within civil construction.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating and pricing.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Agtek, AutoCAD Civil 3D software for estimating purposes.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from vendors.
- Experience in project management to oversee estimating processes efficiently.
- Familiarity with HeavyBid software for accurate and detailed cost estimation.
Compensation
- $90,000 to $110,000+ annually
- RSP matching contributions available after the probatory period
- Company paid benefits after 6-months of employment
