THE ROLE

STRIVE has partnered with a Resort in beautiful Bridge Lake, British Columbia. Although the resort is no longer operating, they have 7 properties on the acreage that need maintaining for 20-30 hours a week.

We are looking for a long term year-round caretaker(s) to maintain acreage with landscaping and building maintenance. In return, you will have free accommodation year-round in a three bedroom home. Utilities, cable, and internet are included. There is an opportunity to earn income beyond the 20-30 hours a week depending on handyman experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Live on the premises and maintain discussed level of tidiness and cleanliness

·        Check all buildings on location of the premises, including but not limited to the residence, log house cabins, shower house and outbuildings on a weekly basis, and to advise any repair and maintenance concerns to the property owners promptly

·        Coordinate with contractors for repairs and maintenance, providing access to service areas as needed. - Maintain grounds in its current condition, including and not limited to landscaping, mowing the grass, keeping roads kept and clear of snow and debris. Etc.

·        Maintain Buildings; Open & Close For Season (Winterize, Open for Spring)

·        Assist with Docks in and out of water in Spring & Fall

·        Annual list of items/projects that need to be addressed for the year

·        Communicate well and represent the resort when communicating with trades, neighbours and staff - Able to quote and source work effectively

·        Be point of contact and first responder to the property on Bridge Lake; Will walk premises at least once a month

Hosting Tasks

·        Firewood stacked for each cabin

·        Lakefront clean, amenity boats accessible and available (Cleaned)

·        Cabins have been cleaned or provide cleaner with access

·        Garbage emptied daily from cabins (garbage/recycling) bins outside cabins and property to dump

·        Provide access to and at times coordinate with Cleaner

 REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications

·        Previous experience working in the construction industry
