The Role

We are partnering with a well-established leader in the stainless-steel distribution and metal services industry, supporting customers across Quebec and Atlantic Canada. This organization is known for its one-stop, customer-first approach and its ability to deliver high-quality stainless-steel products through advanced processing capabilities such as laser, waterjet, and plasma cutting, as well as production cutting of bars.

With access to extensive long and flat product inventory and global distribution channels, this team plays a critical role in delivering fast, reliable, and customized solutions to a diverse B2B client base.

They are currently hiring a Bilingual Inside Sales Representative to support continued growth and provide exceptional service to customers across the region.

As a Bilingual Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving revenue through a combination of inbound sales support and proactive outbound efforts. You will act as a key point of contact for customers, building long-term relationships while identifying opportunities to grow accounts and maximize sales.

This is a permanent, full-time, in-office role ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys relationship-building, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced industrial B2B environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to drive retention and repeat business
  • Respond to inbound inquiries and convert them into sales opportunities
  • Proactively conduct outbound prospecting, including follow-ups and cold calls
  • Prepare and present price quotations, discuss credit terms, and process sales orders accurately
  • Support Outside Sales Representatives by coordinating quotes, orders, and customer communications
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues or complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Source and coordinate the purchase of out-of-stock or non-standard items to meet customer needs
  • Balance customer satisfaction with profitability and business objectives
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within CRM and internal systems
  • Track market trends and share insights with the sales team to support strategic planning
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within assigned accounts and territory
  • Maintain detailed records of calls, orders, and follow-ups
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales quotas and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Collaborate closely with the Outside Sales team to ensure a consistent customer experience
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on sales activity, customer feedback, and market trends
  • Continuously build product and industry knowledge
  • Contribute to overall sales growth and business development objectives

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of inside sales experience
  • Experience in B2B sales, customer service, or industrial/manufacturing environments is considered an asset
  • Full professional fluency in both French and English (spoken and written) is required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working toward sales targets
