If you are looking for a challenge and a chance to grow your career alongside the best and brightest in the industry, you will find it at our client. We are currently seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join their Business Team in Vancouver.

 

This position provides an opportunity to work with a vibrant and team-oriented group of people. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience working in a Canadian law firm, be energetic, flexible, highly motivated, and driven to succeed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare open matter reports, initiate file opening procedures, and request/gather all necessary client documentation.
  • Prepare closed file reports, strip files, and organize file materials.
  • Assist in organizing meetings and scheduling appointments.
  • Print, copy, scan, and save documents in the document management system.
  • Amend drafts of pleadings, reports, letters, and summaries.
  • Prepare expense reports.
  • Perform various general administrative duties as required.
  • Manage all accounting related duties which includes AR process, reviewing monthly prebills with accordance to firm standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

 

·       Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant in any area of law

·       Completion of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program

·       Excellent technical skills including Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel

·       Strong spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills

·       Keyboarding at a minimum or 60wpm

·       Experience with maintaining an effective file management and bring forward system
