THE ROLE
As an Assembler on the day shift, you will ensure the equipment is working efficiently and effectively while delivering a quality product in a safe and clean environment. This is a great opportunity with a leading manufacturing company based in Hamilton, ON, specializing in high-quality industrial products. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembler to join our team on the day shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling components and products according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards and efficient production processes. Ideally we are looking for an auto MECHANIC for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies
- Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
- Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
- Conducts quality control checks.
- Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; and notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs. • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Auto mechanic experience is great to have
- Proven experience as an assembler in a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanically inclined
- Knowledge of hand tools
- Read drawings
- Pneumatic and or electrical knowledge
- Licensed mechanic or millwright will be given preference
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
