THE ROLE
STRIVE is working with a well-established and reputable company to hire Aerial Equipment Shop Technicians in Scarborough, ON. In this permanent, full-time role, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing aerial construction equipment, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers, and other related units.
This is a great opportunity for a mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting, working in a shop environment, and taking pride in keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently. Candidates with experience working on brands such as Genie, JLG, and Skyjack are strongly encouraged to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect, service, and repair aerial construction equipment (boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telehandlers)
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and complete repairs efficiently
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure equipment reliability
- Test the equipment after repairs to confirm safe operation and performance
- Complete service documentation, inspections, and work orders accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized shop and yard environment
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and policies
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical experience with construction equipment (aerial equipment experience preferred)
- Experience with Genie, JLG, Skyjack, or similar equipment is an asset
- Strong understanding of diesel/gas engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Comfortable using diagnostic tools and computer applications
- Heavy Duty Mechanic License is an asset but not required
- Must have own tools
- Valid Class G driver’s license with a satisfactory driver’s abstract
- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Strong troubleshooting skills, safety mindset, and ability to work independently or with a team
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
