THE ROLE
As a 313A Apprentice Mechanic, you will be working at various industrial sites throughout the GTA, maintaining and repairing commercial refrigeration systems. This is a great permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys traveling to various sites while working for a reputable well-established company that treats you like a family member. You will be working alongside a certified 313A tech to travel to different plants to perform repair services and preventative maintenance on the commercial refrigeration systems. The position is based out of Milton, but 90% of your time is working offsite. We are looking for someone in either their 3rd or 4th year apprentice.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components.
- Determine proper line sizing for refrigeration systems.
- Measure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment.
- Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul entire refrigeration systems.
- Recharge system with refrigerant.
- Handle, recover and store refrigerants.
- Reading of drawings to determine lineset placement.
- Coordination with office and on-site to ensure infield changes are noted.
- Diagnose and repair service requests on existing client systems, including walk-in Coolers & Freezers, ice machines, slushi machines.
- Preventative maintenance visits on existing equipment.
- Proper recording and documentation of work completed and materials used.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3rd or 4th year313A apprentice
- Working knowledge of safety requirements for the construction industry
- Mechanical aptitude
- Excellent people and communication skills, both verbal and written
- relevant skills in refrigeration repair and schematics
- Core skills in HVACR and maintenance, along with premium abilities in diagnostics and brazing,
- Must have reliable own transportation, G License in good standing
