The Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their growing team in Surrey, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys problem-solving, communication, and coordinating moving pieces throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and book freight shipments with carriers across various lanes and regions
  • Source and post available loads using load boards and internal systems
  • Communicate with carriers regarding rates, shipment details, and availability
  • Track shipments proactively and address any issues or delays as they arise
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales teams to ensure shipments are covered on time
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day operational challenges and identify effective solutions
  • Accurately enter and maintain shipment and load information within company systems
  • Provide professional and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of accountability and follow-through
  • Previous experience in logistics, freight brokerage, transportation, or a high-volume office environment is considered an asset
  • Backgrounds in customer service, hospitality, or retail management are highly transferable and encouraged
  • Reliable transportation or ability to commute to Surrey, BC
