THE ROLE
As a Machine Operator, you will support production operations within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment in Hamilton. This is a full-time opportunity ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a structured production setting focused on food safety and quality standards. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment, completing accurate production documentation, performing quality checks, and supporting overall production flow. You will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and according to company and regulatory standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate assigned production and processing equipment safely and efficiently
- Set up machines according to production schedules and specifications
- Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed
- Read and interpret production work orders and specifications
- Perform calculations related to weights, quantities, and batch sizes
- Verify scaling, packaging quantities, and production output accuracy
- Monitor and record temperatures, weights, and production times
- Complete production logs, documentation, and system data entry accurately
- Ensure traceability, lot code verification, and audit-ready documentation
- Identify process deviations and report corrective actions as required
- Follow HACCP, GMP, food safety, and sanitation procedures at all times
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment and escalating issues when necessary
- Adhere to all workplace health & safety policies and PPE requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- 1–2+ years of machine operating or production experience preferred
- Food manufacturing experience considered a strong asset
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret production documents and specifications
- Clear written communication and recordkeeping abilities
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials as required
- Comfortable working in cold and wet production environments
- Strong commitment to food safety, GMPs, and workplace safety procedures
- Reliable with strong attendance and punctuality
