The Role
Our client, a leading organization within the construction and industrial services industry, is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their growing HR team in Mississauga. This role is ideal for a recruiter who can confidently manage full-cycle recruitment, proactively source top talent, and create a seamless candidate experience from first contact through to offer stage.

Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Recruitment
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including job description creation, job postings, candidate screening, interviews, reference checks, and offer preparation
- Coordinate and facilitate interviews with hiring managers and internal teams to ensure an efficient hiring process
- Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience through timely communication and ongoing support
Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to attract qualified candidates across multiple channels including job boards, social media, networking events, referrals, campus recruitment, and job fairs
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for both immediate and future hiring needs
- Proactively source passive candidates and create long-term talent relationships
Hiring Manager Partnership
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and support workforce planning initiatives
- Provide recruitment guidance and market insight to leaders throughout the hiring process
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful hiring outcomes
Reporting & Recruitment Operations
- Track recruitment metrics and hiring activity to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Maintain accurate records within the ATS and ensure recruitment processes remain organized and compliant
- Support ongoing HR and talent initiatives as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in high-volume, full-cycle recruitment (must-have)
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (must-have)
- Experience working within construction, industrial, or similar fast-paced operational environments is strongly preferred
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably Workday (nice-to-have)
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to work across multiple departments and leadership levels
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple open roles and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual in French/English is considered a strong asset (nice-to-have)
