THE ROLE

Our client, a leader in industrial manufacturing, is seeking an Industrial Field Service Technician to support the maintenance of their machinery group in a remote, field-based capacity. This role involves frequent travel to various mill sites, where you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment directly at customer locations.

 RESPONSIBILITES

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment on-site
  • Travel to customer locations as required to support service and maintenance needs
  • Train customers and team members on proper equipment use and operation
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while managing your own schedule
  • Maintain daily communication and respond to client inquiries in a timely manner
  • Submit expenses weekly with a cost-conscious approach
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support customer needs
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure proper use of PPE at client sites
  • Respond to urgent or after-hours service requests when required
  • Complete required equipment checks, certifications, and operational standards

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience as a field technician, millwright or maintenance mechanic
  • Experience in an industrial setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, electrical components and hydraulics and pneumatic
  • Skilled in mechanical troubleshooting and confident using tools and equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or collaboratively
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Teams)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for field work or vendor support
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
  • English required; French considered a strong asset
