The Role
We are partnering with a well-established Canadian industrial equipment company specializing in overhead material handling systems to find a Parts Estimator to support their service operations team in Scarborough.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring repair and maintenance work is quoted accurately, parts are sourced efficiently, and customers receive clear pricing and timelines. You will collaborate closely with service technicians and dispatch to keep jobs moving smoothly from diagnosis through completion.

Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare parts and repair quotes based on technician recommendations, equipment details, and service reports
- Clarify incomplete information with field technicians to ensure part compatibility and accuracy
- Provide customers with clear pricing options, including alternatives and lead times where applicable
- Source parts through supplier portals and vendor networks, confirming pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
- Coordinate with vendors regarding substitutions, rush orders, or alternative sourcing solutions
- Obtain and document customer approvals for quoted work
- Communicate lead times and part availability to dispatch to align scheduling expectations
- Ensure parts are properly linked to the correct work order and delivered to technicians on time
- Track outstanding quotes and follow up to keep jobs progressing
- Maintain accurate records of quotes, approvals, parts orders, and customer communications within internal systems
- Provide support to dispatch/scheduling during peak periods or vacation coverage
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of experience in parts quoting, procurement, service estimating, or technical customer support
- Experience in industrial, mechanical, manufacturing, construction, or equipment service environments preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technician notes, equipment specifications, and part descriptions
- Comfortable navigating supplier websites, portals, and internal asset/service systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple quotes and requests in a fast-paced environment
- Organized, process-driven, and comfortable managing documentation and follow-ups
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning internal systems
- Ability to work fully on-site in Scarborough
