THE ROLE
Our client, a leading workforce solutions provider, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their growing finance team. This is a high-impact role with national visibility, supporting strategic decision-making through advanced financial modelling, performance analysis, and data-driven insights.
This role is perfect for someone who excels in building structured financial models, manipulating complex datasets, and partnering with business leaders to drive operational and financial performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Modelling & Forecasting
- Build and maintain dynamic financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, pricing decisions, and scenario planning.
- Develop long-term forecast models incorporating key operational drivers and national performance trends.
- Support business cases for new contracts, major initiatives, and strategic investments.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Extract and manipulate large datasets using SQL to generate insights and support deep-dive analysis.
- Create and maintain Power BI dashboards to monitor KPIs, profitability, and regional performance.
- Conduct monthly variance analysis, prepare consolidated reporting packages, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Business Partnership
- Collaborate with operations, regional leaders, and senior management to understand business needs and deliver meaningful insights.
- Present analysis clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
- Support ad-hoc analysis related to cost optimization, contract performance, and operational efficiency.
- Process Improvement & Automation
- Improve existing forecasting tools, reporting templates, and data processes for better accuracy and scalability.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting tasks and streamline workflows across systems.
- Contribute to enhancements involving Excel models, SQL data structures, and Power BI reporting.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 3–6+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, commercial finance, or a related field.
- Strong ability to build and manipulate financial models in Excel.
- Proficiency in SQL and comfort working with large datasets.
- Experience creating dashboards and reports in Power BI.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing deadlines.
