We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Coordinator to support the finance team on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for a recent accounting/ finance graduate or with 1-2 years of experience in a clerical accounting position.

As the Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will play a key role in maintaining smooth AP operations within a high-volume environment. This contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys fast-paced work, thrives on accuracy, and is seeking meaningful exposure to a large, national organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review invoices for appropriate authorization
  • Process approximately 1,000 invoices per month with accurate GL coding
  • Handle mid-volume expense reimbursements and credit card statements
  • Maintain and update vendor records, including new vendor setups
  • Prepare payment runs and process cheque batches
  • Liaise with branches and vendors regarding payments and outstanding accounts
  • Provide support with general accounting duties and special projects as assigned

Skills & Experience

  • 1+ year of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Basic accounting knowledge and willingness to learn
  • Collaborative, positive, and dependable team player
