THE ROLE

We are hiring a skilled Welder/Fitter to join a medium-sized manufacturing facility in Burlington, ON. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys working within a close-knit, collaborative welding team on high-quality industrial equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fit and weld large industrial lifting equipment
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Skilled in MCAW, FCAW SAW and SMAW processes
  • Machine, mill, and drill components as needed
  • Assist in mechanical assembly of related equipment and technologies
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Complete daily time entry accurately

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter
  • Minimum 5 years fitting experience
  • Ability to operate material-handling equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of work
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing deadlines
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • CWB certification is an asset
