THE ROLE

STRIVE are proud to partner with one of Vancouver’s most well-established and diversified businesses to find a Personal Finance Manager to support a high-profile Senior Executive. This is a unique opportunity for a financial professional to take on a highly dynamic role, managing the executive’s personal and business financial matters in a fast-paced environment.

As the Personal Finance Manager, you will oversee a broad range of financial operations, from full-cycle accounting and tax management to stock portfolio oversight and financial reporting. Acting as a trusted advisor to the executive, you will ensure seamless financial operations while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting and financial management for the executive’s personal and business portfolio.
  • Manage budgets for special projects, track financials, and oversee cash flows.
  • Process accounts payable/receivable, issue payments, and reconcile bank and securities statements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Collaborate with external accountants for tax filings and financial reporting.
  • Manage tax restructuring, asset transfers, and work closely with tax lawyers and accountants.
  • Organize and submit tax documents for multiple entities.
  • Support audits and ensure transactions align with tax structures.
  • Monitor stock trades, track pricing, and execute trade orders as directed.
  • Liaise with financial institutions regarding private placement stock purchases and investment opportunities.
  • Monitor and track loans, interest payments, and financial obligations.
  • Prepare financial reports, cash flow projections, and recommendations for loan restructuring.
  • Manage cash transfers, dividend distributions, and bank transactions.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • CPA designation with 6-8 years of financial management experience.
  • Previous experience supporting a senior executive within a large business.
  • Exceptional organization skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Ability to handle high-volume, fast-paced environments with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with executives.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and financial software.
  • Willingness to be available outside of regular hours as needed.
