Our recruitment team is currently working with a global leader in agriculture in the hunt for Red Seal Millwrights in the area of Vancouver.
The Role
The main duties of the Industrial Mechanic Millwright include performing repairs on pneumatic and hydraulic systems, carrying out maintenance inspections, and reading of schematic drawings.
This position requires a 6-days on, 3 days off schedule rotation Monday through Sunday, with the ability to work the following shift times:
- Daytime: 6:15 AM to 2:15 PM
- Afternoon: 2:15 PM to 10:15 PM
- Evening: 10:15 PM to 6:15 AM (only required every 2 months)
Responsibilities
- Transporting and adjustment of heavy equipment
- Following company procedures
- Control of pollution systems
- Fabrication of small parts using welding techniques
- Use of plasma cutters
- General maintenance and repairs
- Determine work procedures through analysis of equipment diagrams and drawings
Requirements
- 3+ years of relatable experience in an industrial setting as a Millwright
- Red Seal certification
- Ability to abide by health and safety measures
- Ability to communicate clearly expectations and best practices
- Experience working with conveyors and air quality systems
- Problem-solving, leadership, and time management skills
Compensation
- $47.66 an hour + shift premiums
- Overtime double pay
- Additional contributions paid for afternoon, evening, and weekend work
