THE ROLE
STRIVE Recruitment is currently hiring a Manager, FP&A for one of Western Canada’s largest fresh produce organizations!
As the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis you will be tasked with helping develop a brand new FP&A function with this role focusing on the Canadian operations of this North American group of companies! This is a very pivotal role in the company where you will build upon current processes and procedures and bring a new direction to the way the client looks at financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and capital prioritization.
You will be working with key stakeholders across the business helping to translate strategy into executable plans and measure performance through best-in-class management reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive consistency and standardization of FP&A best practices across the organization including corporate modeling, planning, budgeting, and forecasting, and management reporting, standardizing KPIs where appropriate for performance
- Focus on building the capabilities of the team through the development of reporting tools, analytical models, and financial planning processes to effectively scale business growth.
- Helps lead the annual strategic planning and monthly forecasting cycle for the Canadian operations
- Develops actionable management reporting to provide insights into performance, variances, drivers and key business trends
- Proficiency in all FP&A capabilities to coach and develop Analysts while providing quality assurance on deliverables
- Performs other duties as required. To be considered for this position you must meet the following minimum requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Strong expertise in Excel for financial modeling and analysis
- Enjoys working with numbers, with a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Strong communications, organizational, and technology skills.
- Certified Public Accountant designation is an asset
