The Role:
Our recruitment team is currently working with a nationwide leader in building materials, currently in search of a proactive Outside Sales Representative in the area of Kamloops. This position offers flexibility in hours as long as 8 working hours are completed on a daily basis with the ability for an early start of 6:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Friday.
The wage starts at a base of $60,000 with annual wage merit increases and a commission structure based on sales growth and the generation of new business. Overall annual compensation with commission could lead to $85K+ depending on sales performance and ability to familiarize with products, customer projected needs, and internal operations. This role requires fieldwork, and building relationships at client sites.
**Please note auto allowance and gas card are provided. The right candidate must have access to a vehicle, hold a Driver's license, and a clean driver's abstract.
Responsibilities:
- Fieldwork building relationships with contractors and vendors with current and new prospective clients (about 60-80% of the time spent on the road)
- For hires with field or door-to-door experience in a similar field, the first 2-3 months will consist of familiarizing with the products and operations. Working on-site, and prospecting mainly through cold calling and outreach campaigns for new clientele
- Account Management of existing and new clients
- Building strong relationships with clients through networking strategies
- Creation of quotes, reports, and data entry through CRM platforms
- Scheduling meetings
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and genuine curiosity for our products and services
- Reporting to the District Sales Manager
- Predicting client projects and meeting Project Managers in-person
Must Have's:
- Minimum of 1+ years of door-to-door or field outside sales or inside sales experience preferred
- Particular preference is given to those having roofing, industrial, construction, plumbing, electrical, insulation, safety products, or related industry experience
- Proven record of hitting KPI's and quarterly revenue results
- Ability to maintain your own business and clientele through strong sales acumen
- Exceptional communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to reach a large demographic through friendly and outgoing interactions
- Go-getter positive driven attitude
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Computer savvy and adaptable. Previous POS and CRM system exposure
Compensation:
- $60,000 annually + commission
- Regular annual merit wage increases
- Benefits paid 100% paid by employer except for Long Term Disability
